Saudi Arabia is rapidly transforming into a global tourism hub through major investments in its aviation and tourism infrastructure. Central to this effort are the expansion of key airports, the launch of new airlines, and the development of mega-projects like NEOM. Riyadh Air, the Kingdom’s new airline, is set to connect Saudi Arabia with 100 global destinations by 2030. Simultaneously, airport upgrades across the country, including the King Salman International Airport in Riyadh, are designed to accommodate growing international traffic and improve passenger experience.
To support its ambitious tourism targets, Saudi Arabia has introduced streamlined visa reforms, including the launch of e-visas and visa-on-arrival programs for travelers from numerous countries. The nation is also positioning itself as a global event destination, having secured the rights to host Expo 2030 and the FIFA World Cup in 2034. These initiatives align with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goal of attracting 150 million visitors annually, diversifying the economy beyond oil, and showcasing Saudi culture on the world stage.
