In a strategic move to support workforce localization and aviation sector growth, Airbus has teamed up with Colleges of Excellence to launch a comprehensive Helicopter Maintenance Joint Training Program for young Saudis. The launch ceremony, held under the patronage of Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan and attended by key government and industry figures, marked a significant milestone in building national technical capacity in aerospace maintenance.

The training will be hosted at the International Aviation Technical College in Riyadh and is designed to provide participants with high-quality, hands-on instruction aligned with regional aviation demands. The curriculum will lead to a higher diploma in helicopter maintenance, with the goal of achieving 100% employment for graduates in military and civilian aviation sectors.

By leveraging the technical expertise of Airbus and the academic framework of Colleges of Excellence, this program aims to transfer critical knowledge, enhance technical capabilities, and equip Saudi youth with the skills needed to meet the future demands of the helicopter industry.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to forge long-term partnerships with global aviation leaders, supporting Vision 2030 goals by creating sustainable career pathways and building a skilled, future-ready workforce in the Kingdom.
