Saudi Arabia’s civil aviation sector delivered strong performance in 2025, recording significant growth that reinforced its strategic role within the National Transport and Logistics Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030. Passenger traffic surpassed 140 million, marking about a 9 % rise, while international connectivity expanded to 176 destinations. Key infrastructure investments and enhanced airport capacity further strengthened the Kingdom’s emergence as a major global aviation hub connecting three continents.
Operational excellence was evident during Hajj 1446 AH, with over 19 million passengers transported across more than 128,000 flights and enhanced multimodal services such as rail connectivity and “Passengers with No Bags” facilitation. The Kingdom’s re-election to the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization for the 2025–2028 term underscored its growing influence in international aviation. Digital advancements, including AI-powered cargo security initiatives, positioned civil aviation as a key driver of trade and logistics performance.
