Saudi Arabia’s air transport sector is poised for further expansion as the Kingdom strengthens ties with US companies to enhance connectivity, attract investment, and modernize aviation infrastructure. On February 5, Minister of Commerce Majid bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi met with US air mobility executives and members of the Young Presidents’ Organization to explore collaboration opportunities. Al-Qasabi emphasized the Kingdom’s commitment to economic reforms and fostering global partnerships.

This initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader goal of increasing trade and investment with the US to $600 billion over the next four years. In 2023, trade between the two nations reached $34 billion, with mineral products and fertilizers as Saudi Arabia’s top exports, while machinery and mechanical appliances were the leading imports from the US. The Kingdom’s aviation sector has also seen strong growth, driven by rising passenger numbers and strategic global partnerships.

Valued at $1.2 billion in 2023, Saudi Arabia’s aviation industry is expected to grow at an annual rate of 8.88 percent from 2025 to 2029. The expansion includes new jet acquisitions and infrastructure improvements, reinforcing the Kingdom’s vision to become a global aviation hub.
