King Khalid International Airport (KKIA), operated by Riyadh Airports, has achieved a new milestone in operational performance, setting records for both daily and monthly passenger traffic in July.
The airport welcomed 142,538 passengers in a single day, its highest daily figure to date. Across the month, KKIA served 3.9 million passengers on 26,000 flights, surpassing all previous monthly records for both passenger numbers and flight operations.
These results underscore KKIA’s position as the gateway to the Saudi capital and highlight its role in supporting the Kingdom’s aviation sector goals under Saudi Vision 2030.
The latest single-day record represents an 8% increase over the previous high of 131,691 passengers recorded on August 1, 2024—demonstrating the airport’s sustained growth and rising importance as a regional and international hub.
