Saudi Arabia’s King Salman International Airport Development Company (KSIADC) is preparing to launch new tenders for key infrastructure works, including roads, bridges, tunnels, and landside access routes connecting the airport’s North and South terminals. The move marks another milestone in the development of the 57 sq km aviation mega-hub in Riyadh.

Designed to become one of the world’s largest airports, the six-runway facility will accommodate up to 185 million passengers annually by 2050. Recent progress includes the start of construction on the 4,200-metre third runway, new airfield infrastructure, and a 40-million-passenger terminal scheduled to begin construction in 2026, with operations targeted for 2029.

The project supports Saudi Arabia’s ambition to establish Riyadh as a leading global aviation hub under Vision 2030, with future phases set to include additional terminals, aircraft hangars, logistics facilities, and airside infrastructure.
