Kevin Bumen, A.A.E., C.A.E. IAAE Chair/AAAE

Kevin Bumen is the current Chief Financial and Commercial Officer at San Francisco International Airport. Kevin has over 21 years of experience in airport management and has been with the San Francisco International Airport for just over three years. Prior to his current position, Kevin was the Director of Airports with the County of San Luis Obispo from November 2013 to October 2020. In that role, he was responsible for the results-oriented management of aviation facilities, FBOs, services, planning, community affairs programs, information technology, and environmental compliance. Kevin has also held the position of Director of Aviation and Business Services with the Truckee Tahoe Airport District from March 2003 to November 2013, where he oversaw similar responsibilities. Kevin is a highly experienced and respected airport manager and has been instrumental in the success of both the San Francisco International Airport and the County of San Luis Obispo.

Kevin has studied Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, as well as a BS in Tourism, Parks and Recreation Admin from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Kevin is also certified from AAAE in Accredited Airport Executive. Kevin is chair of IAAE and serves on the AAAE Board of Directors. He is an instrument-rated private pilot with more than 30 years of flying experience.
