King Fahd International Airport is set for a major infrastructure boost following the award of US$317 million (SAR1.2 billion) in development contracts by Dammam Airports Company. The investment includes a new power station, expansion of the airport’s electrical distribution network, and upgrades to existing power infrastructure to support future growth and rising passenger demand.
The project also includes improvements to the airport’s northern access road and the Safwa Bridge link, enhancing connectivity, traffic flow, and operational efficiency. These developments form part of a broader transportation package exceeding SAR3 billion, reinforcing KFIA’s role as a key aviation gateway in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province.
