King Abdulaziz International Airport has begun the phased opening of Terminal 4, a new 97,000 sqm facility designed to handle up to 15 million passengers annually.
Key highlights:
- βοΈ Three international airlines β Wizz Air, AJet and SalamAir β have already moved flights to Terminal 4.
- π« More airlines will transition in phases, with the aim of relocating all foreign airlines currently operating from the North Terminal.
- π The terminal includes dedicated group check-in facilities for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
- π Jeddah airport handled a record 53.4 million passengers in 2025.
- π Saudi Arabia’s aviation programme targets more than 90 million passengers annually at the airport.
The expansion is intended to redistribute traffic, increase operational capacity and improve passenger movement as Jeddah continues to serve as a major gateway for travellers to Makkah.
