Mott MacDonald has been appointed by Matarat Holding as the Airports Masterplan Framework consultant to support airport development across Saudi Arabia. Under this two-year framework, the consultancy will review and update masterplans for 25 airports, shaping long-term strategies for growth, investment, and infrastructure enhancement.
This initiative aligns with the Saudi National Aviation Strategy and Vision 2030, aiming to strengthen economic development, tourism, and regional connectivity. Mott MacDonald’s specialists will assess future demand, facility capacity, land use, and development alternatives, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations.
Covering major hubs such as Riyadh and Jeddah, as well as international, regional, domestic, and remote airports, the framework will guide short-, medium-, and long-term development plans. Leaders from both Mott MacDonald and Matarat emphasized the importance of this collaboration in building resilient, future-ready airport infrastructure for the Kingdom.
